What is a forest garden?

Forest gardens , food forests.  

These are the buzz words for sustainable  gardening today.

Forest gardening itakes the principals of a natural forest system applying it to your own garden.  This doesn't mean you need  giant redwoods,  50 metre eucalypts or even acerage to give you the feel of a forest.

Foerest gardening is using a layered system.  You have your upper story, this may only be the height of an apple tree.  Then your lower stories come to play finishing with ground covers.
